Claim Your Manifesto!
The point of writing the manifestos is to introduce people to your fandom, or your particular pairing of choice within a fandom. It might be a fandom they've never heard of, or a pairing they've never considered before, so you need to explain who the main characters are (or who your pairing characters are) and why you think they go so well together/have so much slashy potential.

You don't have to write pages and pages if you don't want to; you only have to write enough to convey the basics. You can include pictures/screencaps but, if you can't find any, don't worry about it. It's nice to have a visual as well, but it isn't a necessity.

Any links to notable fansites, their IMDb page, etc. are always welcomed too :)

There's no time limit on these (as long as you're not still working on them a year from now!) and you can claim as many as you think you can handle. If you're the only person in your particular fandom, or the only one who 'ships the characters in question, please pick that one at least!

To claim, first check the claims list (to make sure your claim isn't taken), then just c&p the mini-form and fill it out. You can use your name, pen name, or just journal name; whichever works for you.

If you include a fandom but not a pairing, I'll assume you're writing a manifesto for the general fandom (ie. covering more than one possible pairing, introducing multiple femslashable characters, etc) If you include a pairing, I'll assume you're focusing solely on them.

One person can write a manifesto for the general fandom and another can write a pairing-specific manifesto for the same fandom, but two people can't have the same claim (at least not for the moment). If you write for the general fandom, it should cover the general fandom.




Try and use full character names if you can because there are many fandoms in the tag list that I don't know! &two examples below...

Hmmmm. I hate to shirk obligations, but since I'm a brand-spankin' new fan and others seem to be more in-the-know about the fandom, I wouldn't mind relegating this manifesto to someone else. Perhaps you and [info]lextenou can work something out?

I always saw something between Max and Amy as well (one-sided possible jealousy on Max's part -- could just be me!), although Lucy/Amy is definitely my OTP for the movie :)

In the commentary, the actresses joked that D.E.B.S. 2 will be about Max's burgeoning lesbianism. XD Perhaps there was a spark between Max and Amy, but I always saw it as very protective friendship. Not that I would be at all disappointed if Max is one in the sequel. ;)

& I think it was a very protective friendship but also a little bit... possessive, maybe? Max wanted Amy to stay with the D.E.B.S partly because they were best friends and partly because she got the perfect score (and is one of the best), but I think she was a little bit over-hurt (I'm explaining this so badly! heh) by Amy choosing Lucy over her (and the team) and 'betraying' them.

She might not have really thought about it much, but I think she sort of saw Amy as hers -- she didn't want her to go anywhere else/leave the squad, not to be with Lucy and not to go to art school.

GAH. I'm at work, please forgive the ramble!

Did that make ANY sense at all? :P

Oh, yes, yes, your comment made perfect sense. :) I actually almost wrote "possessive" in my last comment, because Max so totally is. And I agree with everything you wrote; they have a very close bond. But if Max is a lesbian, she'll have to go for Dominique or Nanotchka. :P

Max/Dominique, now there's an idea. I don't know how you'd work in the lesbianism thing with her addiction to men, but there's always the affair in Denmark to consider. ;) And Dominique would have to be the chaser.

Is this on going?

Also, have you ever thought about having prompt tables like [info]fanfic100, [info]ficlets100, [info]50ficlets, etc, etc... but smaller? anything from 15-100 prompts?
